The Value of Locksmith Services

There are few things worse than coming home from work to find your home has been broken into. Sadly, this happened to me not long ago. My name is Jana, and I’m the single mother of two little girls. After reporting the burglary, a police officer suggested that I call a locksmith. The locksmith asked if I had any spare keys around the house that may have been stolen. Sure enough, I had some hanging on a key rack, and they were gone! I was worrying about jewelry and electronics; I never even thought to look for my keys. That night we replaced all my locks and rekeyed my car. To be extra safe, the locksmith made his next stop at my parents. (I had keys to their house on that key rack.) Locksmiths offer a valuable service; I’m happy to share why they're so great!

Three Unique Directions To Take Your Concrete Sawing Business

Concrete sawing is often saved just for cutting roads and sidewalks, but did you know you can do so much more than that? Thinking outside the box to direct your concrete sawing business in new directions will help you expand and grow. Here are three unique ideas to get you started.

Concrete Sculpture

You do not have to have an artistic bone in your body, really. Concrete sculptures are often abstract in both nature and detail, so you could create some unique and fabulous garden statuary to sell to customers on the side. Although a traditional sidewalk saw may not work for this business approach, the handsaws your crews use with concrete cutting blades work perfectly.

Concrete Building Demolition Assistance

Sometimes, to get an old concrete building demolished, a demolition crew needs to place explosives in just the right spots. To make the explosives work effectively, they need to cut into thicker areas of concrete, either to keep them from sending larger chunks of debris outward and injuring people or to place the explosives in the cut-out areas your saws create. You could be that concrete sawing business that assists demolition crews with removing chunks of concrete building.

Public Swimming Pool Construction, Expansion and Replacement

Virtually all public swimming pools are made of concrete. When the city wants to expand, remodel or demolish an existing public pool, they need your saw cutting services. Look to expand your business by searching for public contracts involving pools. You can also offer your services to places like a YM/YWCA, whose pools need regular maintenance and updates. If you live in a city where there are lots of large, private pools belonging to wealthy owners, there is another off-shoot of this business branch you can take.

Staying "Vanilla" Kills Your Business

Put these ideas to good use. The biggest problem you will face in the concrete sawing business is that you have a lot of competition when it comes to sawing roads and sidewalks. This is what is referred to as being "vanilla;" you provide the typical and expected service and not much else. If you are going to compete against your competitors for success, then you are going to have to find some unique direction (or directions) to take your business. You will find that the more ideas for different directions you can take your company, such as Concrete Sawing Co Inc, the more likely you will profit and succeed.
